A defector from the Garlean Empire, Ananova hasn't the faintest idea of how to actually live as a Sea Wolf in Limsa Lominsa. After nearly a decade as a wandering healer and alchemist, she's made her home in the Mists. Ananova opened her very own clinic, where she applies skills developed in Imperial laboratories, and desperately avoids their mistakes.

Healing through Technology: Ananova's clinic has some unusual diagnostic equipment, including personal creations modeled after the technology she used in Garlemald. She can also offer curatives or poisons to any who might have need of them.
Collaborator: The Imperial medical research laboratories were not compassionate nor ethical places, and Ananova did work there. She hated what she saw, but that didn't mean she didn't participate. Perhaps your character or their family was captured/experimented on.
Defector: Working in an Imperial laboratory gave Ananova access to projects and information that the Empire wants to remain secret. There are those in Garlemald who would see her return and tried for defection. Or finish the work.
Sharpshooter: Ananova wasn't always a healer–quite the opposite. She began her career as a rifleman in the Imperial military, and only left that role when she married Lousander lux Solandaire. During her time, she had tours in Othard, Ala Mhigo, and within the Empire itself.
